7/6/23 – Great news! Survivor has found a home!

Poor Survivor has such a sad story and, from his photos below, it’s apparent that he has not had it easy. He was found on the side of the road so weak that he couldn’t stand and covered in wounds. It took some time for him to gain the strength even to walk, but he is now recovered and gained enough weight to be neutered. He is now living in a foster home in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, provided by Safe Rescue.

Survivor is a Greyhound who is believed to be around eight years old according to the vet and it’s hard to imagine the kind of life he’s led. Despite that, he has a lovely temperament and loves both adults and children.

Survivor walks nicely on a lead but also spends endless hours asleep on the sofa. He mixes well with other dogs but he is only just neutered and so he can still be a little bit edgy with some males. He cannot live with cats or small furry animals.

Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used. Full details of their rehoming policy are on Survivor’s details on Safe Rescue’s Facebook.
