This stunning girl is Bella and she is looking for a new home through no fault of her own where where she can be part of her family’s routine as, sadly due to a change of circumstances, her current owner is unable to provide the time that she is used to.
Bella is a 7 year old Akita and she is active, alert and very affectionate. She loves going for walks and patiently waits for her lead to be put on. Outside, she does not pull on the lead and prefers to walk calmly at your side.
Bella is house-trained and knows her basic commands. She enjoys her toys and is happy to share them with no guarding issues. She is friendly towards other dogs and could potentially live with a nice natured, similar-sized male companion if introductions were successful. Due to being underweight when she was taken in by her current owner, she can be protective over her food, so if there is another dog in the home, the adopter must be willing to feed separately.
Although Bella has been fine with the children that she has met, she has not lived directly with them. With this in mind, a home without children or a home with older children would be better suited to her. Bella is not used to living with cats.
