‘OLD DOG OF THE WEEK’ FEATURES NEW PHOTOS AND A FRESH WRITE-UP FOR AN OVERLOOKED OLDIE THAT HAS BEEN ON OUR WEBSITE FOR A WHILE BUT IS STILL WAITING FOR A NEW HOME.

Please help Arthur by sharing this page!

Gorgeous boy Arthur (AKA Arty) is an 8-year-old Akita, currently in a foster home in Nottinghamshire through Friends of Akitas.

Arty can live with sensible teenagers. He’s good with most other dogs when out on walks but he’d probably be best as an only pet.

Arty is well-behaved and clean in the house. He can be left for a few hours once settled in but he really loves being with his people.

Arty enjoys his walks. He used to be very strong on the lead but has got the hang of going at his human’s pace now. He needs a secure garden with high fences as he can jump surprisingly high!

At heart, Arty is a homebody and, as long as he has plenty of exercise, he loves nothing more than lounging at home with his owner nearby…

…or watching the telly.
