Gentle Blac is a white and black Galgo (Spanish medium size sighthound) who has been waiting for a new home since 2023. He came to the U.K. on 22/3/2025 and is currently living in Essex in the care of Project Galgo until he goes to his forever home.
Blac is 7 years old (born 25/12/2017), weighs 25kg and is 71cm high. He is neutered and has been cleared of any Mediterranean disease. His health condition is improving since he has been in the U.K.
Blac has clearly known the very worst of mankind and is very nervous, but he wants to move forward in life. He is sweet and gentle, but is very skittish and uncertain of strangers. He has a special talent of wagging his tail so sweetly.
Blac is dreaming of a quiet, gentle home with humans who won’t put pressure on him and with another dog for comfort and confidence. He can be left for up to 4 hours with another dog. He has not been cat-tested but may be able to live with a dog-savvy cat.
Blac likes his food, comfort, walks in the countryside and kind people who won’t force contact. He doesn’t like busy places or sudden noises.
