Adorable Jack Russell Terrier brothers, Brian and Paddy, are urgently seeking a long-term foster home as they have sadly ended up in rescue at nearly 16 years old after their owner passed away. Kennels are no place for an elderly dog; they need a loving retirement home and Foal Farm in Kent will support any ongoing medical care they need.
Considering their lives have been turned upside down, the boys have taken it in their stride. Paddy is a real cheeky chap and on the larger side so is on a diet. He struggles with arthritis so can only manage short walks and loves nothing more than a belly rub.
Brian was a little more reserved but is coming out of his shell slowly and is also a sweetheart. He enjoys going for a gentle stroll.
Brian and Paddy are good around dogs and could live alongside others, but no cats please. They would prefer a calm dog/dogs due to their elderly age. They are best suited to an older family with any children over 10 years old and in a calm environment, so they can enjoy a peaceful retirement.
They are both due some ongoing vet work as they have a few health concerns, which is to be expected at their age.
Ideally, their fosterer needs to be local to Foal Farm for vet trips. Please note any costs of their ongoing care will be covered by them. They just want them to be back in a loving home where they belong.
NOTE: Foal Farm prefer to rehome dogs in the locality of the rescue, if at all possible, so they can offer continued support.
