Sian (Safe Rescue, fostered Norfolk)

Sian is a small to medium sized crossbreed lady, aged around nine to ten years old currently being fostered in Norwich, Norfolk through Safe Rescue. She was found by them in a public shelter in Romania but is now safely here in the UK looking for her forever home.

She is mixing well with other dogs and would ideally like another dog when she moves on to her forever home. However, its felt she would adjust in time to being the only dog if you are there to give her lots of love and attention and help her in building her confidence.

Sian likes a quiet life so is looking for a calm retirement home where she could get lots of love, and snooze peacefully, knowing you are there. Sian would not suit a busy home.

When she arrived into foster she was very shut down which is completely understandable knowing the life she has endured in the past, but with love and kindness she has started to slowly open up. Sian would prefer an adult home and could share her home with a cat.

She is a gentle girl who is showing signs of getting braver every day. She needs to build trust with her new family and will make the most loving companion for the right family. She is a wonderful girl.

Please note: When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period.
