‘OLD DOG OF THE WEEK’ FEATURES NEW PHOTOS AND A FRESH WRITE-UP FOR AN OVERLOOKED OLDIE THAT HAS BEEN ON OUR WEBSITE FOR A WHILE BUT IS STILL WAITING FOR A NEW HOME.

Please help Brantis by sharing this page!

Dear little Brantis is a 13-year-old Yorkshire Terrier in the care of Safe Rescue. He’s in a foster home in Norwich, Norfolk, after his former owners became too unwell to look after him. He can live with cats and a calm dog or two but needs an adult-only home as he’s partially sighted and hard of hearing. We think you’ll agree, this only adds to his “aww” factor.

Brantis is a very affectionate boy and loves plenty of lap time. His reduced vision, due to cataracts, doesn’t stop him living life to the full and he enjoys pottering around the garden and going on walkies.

He’s good with other dogs as he’s a naturally friendly and laid-back boy. If startled by being touched without warning, he has been known to give a warning snap. On the whole though, he’s so laid-back, he’s often horizontal.

He does, of course, require a bit more consideration and TLC so he needs experienced and kind owners. He also needs regular grooming for his splendid golden coat. Otherwise, it’s a periodic crew cut which makes him look a tiny scrap of a thing, bless him!

Please note – Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used. Full details of their rehoming policy are on Brantis’ Facebook post here.
