Lucy (Private Rehoming, Lancashire)

Lucy is a very sweet 10-year-old Patterdale Terrier looking for her forever home due to her owner’s health issues. She has lived with her current owner for the past four years, and before that sadly lost her previous home when her owner went into care.

Having experienced a lot of change, Lucy’s owner now wants only the very best for her, as she has been a deeply loved companion and friend.

Lucy has happily lived with other dogs and gets along well with those she meets out and about, so she could live as an only dog or with canine companions. Due to her high prey drive, she cannot live with cats or other small animals.
Lucy can live with children aged 8+ and has been around them before, showing a very gentle and lovely nature.
Lucy settles nicely when left and can currently be on her own for 4–5 hours. That said, she much prefers being out and about with her humans! She gets wonderfully excited when it’s time to go out, whether for a walk or a car ride—where she travels perfectly.

Lucy is a fit and healthy girl who currently enjoys two 30–45 minute walks each day when she’ll happily carry her lead in her mouth until it’s time to be let off!

Lucy’s favourite things are her toys and her people, who she absolutely adores. She loves being your shadow, keeping you company in the garden, or snuggling on the sofa under her blanket. Tummy tickles and neck scratches are her idea of heaven!

She also has a cute party trick—she’ll hop up on her back legs for a treat, especially if it’s peanut butter or a slice of tangerine.

Lucy’s only dislikes are trips to the vet and having her nails clipped, although they don’t grow quickly so this is rarely an issue. She also prefers not to have her ears handled too much. Lucy is in good health and not on any medication.
In summary, Lucy is totally adorable !
