1/7/16 We are so sad to hear that poor Tiggy was nearer the end of her life than was thought and she has now passed away. The saddest thing is that some lovely people had offered Tiggy a home and were due to pick her up today. :( Sleep tight, Tiggy.

Kasha (NAWT, Berkshire)

1/9/16 – Sad news, Kasha had to be put to sleep as she was losing the battle against cancer which had spread quickly into her back legs and hip.

Not nutty, Nutty (Oldies Club, fostered Northants)

We are so sorry to have to update with the sad news that, after a short illness, Nutty deteriorated dramatically, to the point where she had to be put to sleep to save her any suffering. Our thoughts are with Nutty’s lovely foster carer who had taken such good care of our special girl since she came into the Oldies Club rescue. Sleep tight little Nutty.

Charlie is an 12 year old Chinese Crested Powderpuff, who came into the care of Oldies Club in 2014. Earlier this year we appealed for a very special person or couple who could offer Charlie a permanent foster home. Charlie needed a pet-free and child-free home with a garden, where he could settle and enjoy a peaceful retirement.

Tilly (RSPCA Danaher, Essex)

13/9/15 We’re very sad to hear that Tilly passed away suddenly in her kennel overnight. Thankfully it seems that she simply went to sleep and didn’t wake up, so it would have been peaceful. Sleep tight beautiful Tilly.

William (Chancepixies Animal Welfare, Kent)

Little William’s dad passed away and he’s now looking for an experienced and understanding adult-only home. He’s led an insular life and arrived in rescue very underweight so food is an issue with him. He loves his walks and deserves a happy, forever home. 2/9/18 – William is still waiting!

Buddy (Kerry Greyhounds, fostered Norfolk)

2/9/14 – We just had this sad update from Kerry Greyhounds: ‘Poor Buddy had a home offer but before he could go he became unwell and was diagnosed with Hepatic Lymphoma last week. He deteriorated very quickly and had to see a vet on Sunday as an emergency. Unfortunately the vet recommended that Buddy was euthanased, it was a very sad day for us all.’

Asha (Rescue Remedies, Surrey)

27/6/13 – Sad news from Rescue Remedies: ‘So sorry to have to tell you that Asha went to Rainbow Bridge today. Sadly he had a mass on his upper front leg and he was struggling to walk. The vet agreed it was better to let him slip away without pain. Thankfully he had 10 months before he died in a wonderful foster home.’

Frisby (Barley Kennels, Essex)

1/8/14 – Just had this sad update from Barley Kennels: ‘Sadly Frisby passed away 2 weeks ago, he never did find his forever home but he was happy and very much loved with us.’

Glen (Barley Kennels, Essex)

12/10/13 – Just had this sad news about Glen: ‘Very sadly Glen died last week bless him. Its such a terrible shame he didn’t find a home he was such a lovely dog, but at least he was happy in kennels and one of the volunteers was very attached to him and spoilt him as much as possible.’

Ben (Furry Friends Animal Rescue, Surrey)

25/4/12 – Sad news from Furry Friends today – ‘Sadly we had to have Ben put to sleep this morning. A home had been offered but they are on holiday at the moment. Unfortunately it just wasn’t meant to be. :(‘ Sleep tight little Ben.

Connie (South East Dog Rescue, Kent)

C14/5/12 – We just had some very sad news from South East Dog Rescue – ‘Connie had a home lined up for this week but, devastatingly, she died today on the way to emergency vet of bloat. I’m absolutely devastated. Thank you so much for putting my beautiful girl on your site.’ Run free, Connie.

Cute Casey Cheekygirl (Oldies Club, fostered Suffolk)

26/5/12 After a period of illness, Casey has sadly had to be put to sleep. Our thoughts are with her lovely foster carer and also with Casey’s former owner who has been following Casey’s progress since sadly having to part with her.

Arthur (Foal Farm, Biggin Hill, Kent)

19/4/2012 A very sad update from Foal Farm .. Arthur’s health has been deteriorating recently and after suffering two fits Foal Farm decided it was time to let him go. He was put to sleep at the kennels, surrounded by everyone he knew and loved, and eating his favourite food, roast chicken. Sleep tight Arthur :(
