22/10/18 – Gorgeous Andy has found a fabulous home!

Andy is an absolutely gorgeous-looking dog. He described as a Pointer x German Shepherd, aged 9, who is being rehomed by a small rescue named Forever Rescue, and is kennelled in Pembrokeshire.

Andy is a rescue dog from Spain and he has been in the UK since the end of June 2017. He is a big strong boy who loves everyone, children and adults alike. His large size is the only issue with small children and his tendency to want to cuddle up, bless him.

He is fine with other dogs and has lived happily with a male collie. If he sees dogs when out on a walk he just ignores them. He can be left alone for reasonable periods of time and he is sadly used to his own company as his previous owner had personal problems. Andy needs a home without cats.

Andy would love a calm home with someone who will give him lots of affection as this is what he craves. He has plenty of energy for an older dog so will enjoy going out for good walks with you.

Andy has leishmaniasis which was contracted by being bitten by a sand fly in Spain. It is NOT contagious and is easily treated with one tablet twice daily. Very often this medication can be discontinued after a time. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Andy was last seen by a vet on 3rd September and his spine and hips were X-rayed for suspected CDRM.

Could you offer Andy the loving home he craves?
