24/5/18 – Carol has found a home
————–

Carol is a cute little Bishon Frise lady of 8 years of age. This darling is ready to embark upon the next stage of her life and Friends of Animals Wales want to make sure that she spends it being loved, doted on and cared for as she deserves. Carol was used for breeding for most of her life and is therefore unused to living in a home with people who love her, as all dogs deserve to do.

Carol is to the right

Carol needs a very special owner who will understand her needs and give her time and space to let her come out of her shell. She is very timid at the moment and most things scare her, poor thing.

Although she is timid around them at first, she does warm up after a while and she seems to prefer men to women. She is very wary of women, which might have something to do with her horrible past. She is frightened of strangers and would not be able to handle living with children.

Carol has met the other dogs in her foster home and seems to get along fine with them. She likes to follow them around and lie down with them. A calm resident dog in the home is a must for Carol, so she can learn from a fellow canine what it is to be a pet and to live in a home.

At the moment, Carol is too timid to go for walks because the busy streets, people and strange noises. She would do best if she starts out in a quiet rural area where she can get used to the idea and gain confidence.

Carol is okay to be left with other dogs for short periods, but she does chew on cushions if she feels she is being abandoned. She eats her food in her crate, away from the other dogs.

What Carol needs is a very special, kind and patient person, preferably a man, who is home for most of the day in a quiet, calm home without too many people around, at least until she gets settled.

Once Carol becomes used to living in a home with people, she should make the loveliest and most loyal companion you could ask for.

If you think you can be Carol’s angel, please contact Friends of Animals Wales to set up a time to meet her in her foster home in Stone, Staffordshire.
