14/12/18 – We are so sad to hear that Teddy has sadly had to be put to sleep after suffering a series of massive fits. Sleep tight little chap.

Teddy is an adorable 13 year old Terrier who arrived in rescue with SN Dogs because his elderly owners were unable to look after him. He is in a foster home in Wiltshire.

This handsome little chap has a very sweet nature and takes everything in his stride. Life is an adventure for Teddy – he loves walks and outings and is generally very well-behaved out and about, although he can sometimes be a little strong on the lead. He stays on his lead on walks as he is deaf and so has no recall. He is a good boy in the car and seems to enjoy travelling.

Teddy lived happily as an only dog in his last home but he’s great with other dogs and is currently living with a variety of dogs in his foster home. He ignores chickens and is fine with cats too. What a star he is.

Teddy needs a home with someone around most of the time as he gets very anxious and whines and barks when left alone. He has always slept on his owner’s bed and so he would like the same in his new home. He settles well on the bed and sleeps through the night, but he can no longer manage stairs safely and needs to be carried up and down. At 6.5kg he is quite easy to carry – or of course a bungalow would be ideal for him. He will cry if left downstairs on his own.

Teddy has a heart murmur and is on Vetmedin for this. He seems to be completely deaf. He is neutered and microchipped and has been wormed and flea treated. He appears to have a flea allergy so flea treatments will need to be kept up to date.

Teddy is such a dear little old boy and will be perfect for someone looking for a true companion dog. Could Teddy be your new friend?
