18/10/19 – Lovely Rod now has a permanent foster home! Hooray!

Handsome lad Rod is a cream/fawn coloured feathered Saluki cross in the care of Lurcher Link in Halifax, West Yorkshire. They’re looking for a permanent foster home for him, meaning they will pay any vet bills and you provide his forever sofa.

Rod is pretty laid back but still likes his walks and must have a garden to potter about and declare ownership of (ahem!). So, preferably one with hardy shrubs and grass rather than salad veg.

He can be a grump with “in your face” dogs – particularly males – and is probably not used to living with cats. He’s currently staying in a multi-dog household and has to spend some of the day crated as there are several other males. The ladies are much more his cup of tea and he should be fine with a calm female or as an only pet.

Rod would like an adult only retirement home with fairly active and experienced owners. There was an unfortunate incident recently where he snapped at someone. This was out of character for him so something must have triggered a fear reaction. Having had a dental not long ago he’s somewhat lacking in the teeth department but his sensibilities still need consideration. He’s a loving boy and, of course, extremely beautiful!

If you’re a fan of Lurchers and can offer Rod the peaceful retirement he seeks, please contact Lurcher Link as follows:
