15/12/19 – Rusty has found a home

Rusty is about 9 years of age and he is in a Pawprints to Freedom foster home in Glasgow. His details appear on the Pawprints to Freedom Facebook page.

He is an absolutely gorgeous boy who has lots of love to offer his new family. He likes to go out for walks and he makes friends, human and canine, wherever he goes. He would love a home with people who will take him out for adventures and then back home for cuddles. He loves putting his head on your lap for a cuddle – and what a cuddly boy he is!

Rusty doesn’t bark in the house or at other dogs. He is not destructive and is fully toilet trained. He is very intelligent and in the short time he has been in foster he has learnt some commands, including stay, come, wait and lie down. He is an incredibly clever boy.

Rusty walks nicely on the lead and does not pull. He can be wary of men sometimes, probably due to his past, however his fosterer has been working on this with him and he is improving. He once growled at a male visitor, but Rusty has gradually warmed to him and now lies down at his feet for head scratches!

Rusty does not guard and is not food aggressive. He has been tested with cats and is fine with them. He has lived with small animals and, apart from a sniff, has shown no interest in them. He has been around children and is also fine with them. He will of course need the usual sensible and supervised introductions to children and other pets that all new additions should have.

Rusty simply wants a family of his own who will love and care for him, take him for walks and adventures, and then relax with him in the evenings, giving him lots of tummy tickles.
