9/9/21 – We have just heard the fabulous news that Toby and Archie have found their end-of-life foster home. Good luck boys!
Toby (white & black, aged 14) and Archie (brown, aged 10) are a gorgeous pair of terriers looking for end-of-life foster care, together. They are with Teckels in Whitminster, Gloucestershire, as their owner very sadly passed away. As they will need to return to Teckels for vet care, you should live fairly close to Teckels.
Being elderly boys, Toby and Archie need to spend the rest of their days with home comforts; it isn’t good for them to be in kennels, especially as Toby has been diagnosed with liver cancer. Hence the need for an end-of-life foster home.
Despite the cancer diagnosis, Toby is still enjoying life. He likes to go for short walks and enjoys a fuss, and he still has a big appetite, his favourite food being cooked chicken.
Cute Archie is still spritely and he enjoys gentle walks. Toby and Archie would like a quiet foster home where they are the only dogs, as they’re only used to each other’s company. They want a quiet home without young children, and they’d like someone around most of the time for company. The size of the garden doesn’t matter, but they do need it to be a pleasant, secure area where they can potter around and go to the toilet.
Teckels will provide everything Toby and Archie need, such as medication and the snuggly bed that they like to spend the day snoozing in. Fosterers should be prepared to care for the boys until end-of-life and be happy to follow Teckels’ guidance. You will need your own transport to be able to travel to Teckels for vet check-ups when necessary.
Offering these lovely old boys a space on your sofa for their remaining time will be extremely rewarding, and it will allow Teckels to help more dogs by making space in kennels.
If you can offer the boys a loving home together, and meet the above criteria, please read Teckels’ How to Adopt page – click here and then email the required information to: firstname.lastname@example.org
