7/12/23 – Diana has found a home!

Pretty Diana is an 11-year-old Crossbreed girl in foster care in Malvern, Worcestershire through Stray2Me.

Diana is generally good with other dogs, although she’s a bit bossy at first. She would happily live with one or more calm, compatible canine pals. She’d be fine as an only pet too. It’s unknown how she’d react to cats though. She’s OK being around older children but, at her age, she wants an adult only home.

Diana is a shy girl whose history in Romania is unknown other than being rescued from a public shelter there. She shows signs of having been mistreated and can be unnerved by being touched unexpectedly or by strangers. Once she knows you and as long as you’re gentle, she does like having her head stroked. Needless to say, she needs owners experienced with nervous dogs and will be considerate of her sensitive nature. She’s a loving lady when she’s at ease.

Diana loves being out in the garden! It’s definitely her happy place. She hardly needs any exercise due to her anxiety about the big wide world. Just short, familiar, snuffle-walks suit her nicely.

Diana is an undemanding dog who will form a strong bond with her human soulmate. She’s clean in the house and settles down peacefully. She just needs comfort, routine and to feel safe, to be the happy dog she was always meant to be.

Her foster carer says, “She’s fine being left but I would say for no more than 4 hours. She’s a bit snappy with other dogs initially, telling them to give her space, but once that’s been established she happily lives with other dogs. Boisterous, loud dogs wouldn’t suit her. She’s not a fan of the lead. She wears a harness with a handle on and she’s OK being led by that, gently. She’s scared of being forced into situations. Her back legs are a bit weak with old age so she’d probably prefer a ramp to get her in and out of the car. She’s not interested in walks really and would rather enjoy retirement sunning herself or a nice comfy bed. She bounces when it’s food time and always comes up to you with a happy tail wag.”

If you might be the one Diana can wag her tail at, please complete the Stray2Me Adoption Form, or contact the Rescue as follows:
