These poor, bewildered little darlings are Monty and Suzy who arrived with Dogs4Rescue on Christmas Eve after their owner sadly passed away. The rescue generally rehomes within the
Greater Manchester area, but they will consider homes outside this area for exceptional homes that meet the dogs’ needs.

Monty and Suzy were sadly left alone in the property after their owner died; they were very confused and very scared. Dogs4Rescue were full, but their hearts broke for Monty and Suzy and so they found a way to take them in and offer them safety at the rescue.

Monty and Suzy are Jack Russell Terriers, estimated to be around 9 years old. They are a friendly, delightful pair of dogs and need a home where they can stay together. It is clear to see that both dogs have been very much loved and they appear to be in good health. Suzy is currently overweight and will need a diet and gentle exercise plan. Initially they will need about 30 minutes gentle exercise per day to get them down to their ideal weight and gradually build up their fitness.

Monty and Suzy will require lots of patience with housetraining as their elderly owner couldn’t see to their toileting needs and so they became used to going inside. They are great with other dogs and have shown no reaction to cats, although they haven’t lived with cats. They aren’t used to living with children, so a quiet home with a retired person or couple is what they need. They love being with people and they also travel well.

They have only known a kind hand and lots of love, but this has sometimes been in the form of too many bacon sandwiches! They have been through so much after their world has turned upside down and the rescue would love to see them settled in a loving home as soon as possible.

Could you offer these gorgeous old dogs a loving home with plenty of understanding and patience with their housetraining?
