26/9/23 – Lovely Obi has been adopted. Yay!
——————–

Obi is a beautiful, elegant, long-legged boy, aged 9, who is with Love Underdogs in Waltham Abbey, Essex.

The gorgeous Obi is a sensitive lad with a heart of gold. He may weigh in at 30kg, but don’t let his size fool you, as Obi has a warm and loving spirit that will melt your heart with his big brown eyes. Obi is the epitome of a love bug. He may take a little bit of time to get to know you, but once he does, he’ll be your faithful companion for life.

Obi would like an adult-only home where he will be the centre of attention. He is the king of his own little castle and would cope best as the only pet in the home. He’s not a big fan of strangers and chaos, so would like a calm and peaceful home that doesn’t regularly have visitors. That said, during his time at LU, he has been introduced to multiple new people and he absolutely adored them! It’s just important that interactions like this are well managed by his family so that Obi can come to realise visitors are a good thing. While he may need to be kept separate from them at first, it is hoped that he will enjoy positive interactions with people in time.

Obi walks well on his harness and loves to explore new sights and smells. Walks in nature are a firm favourite, so if you live near a forest or big open fields, that would be perfect. He’s not a fan of walkies where he might encounter traffic or lots of noise; he’s a country boy through and through. Obi travels really well in a car, with or without a crate.

Obi is fully housetrained, so his family won’t need to worry about any little accidents. He also knows fun tricks such as sit, paw, down and go to bed, and boy does he look like a cutie pie when he’s doing them. Seriously, prepare for your heartstrings to be tugged at! Training will be a rewarding experience for both Obi and his family as he is eager to please his human friends, and loves to get a treat.

Obi is on medication for anxiety and pain, but Love Underdogs will ensure the transition to his new home is as smooth as possible. They can also offer support with costs relating to this. The family looking to adopt Obi will need to visit him a couple of times so he can get to know you and bond with you.

Could you offer this handsome boy an adult home and countryside walks?
