A quiet life, a gentle home with another dog who is friendly and confident are all handsome Solo is looking for after a life of suffering. He had been an invisible dog until one of Project Galgo’s lovely foster families took him in from kennels in Alicante at very short notice.

Solo is now enjoying his very comfy bed in a foster home in Staffordshire since arrival in March 2026. He’s a neutered, dark brindle Galgo (Spanish Greyhound) and is 8 years old (born: 14/3/2018). Solo measures 25″ to the shoulder and weighs 19.4kg.

Solo is a timid boy who has greatly suffered in life. He is slowly learning that people and the world are not as bad as he feared from past experience, and he is a very gentle, sweet and endearing boy. He can be fearful of people approaching.

Solo just loves morphing into his comfy, donut bed and gets on well with other dogs. He has shown no interest in cats in his foster home and so could possibly be fine living with one. He can be left in the home for several hours with no problems.

Soli is clear of any Mediterranean disease and is generally healthy. He does have cataracts in one eye.
