Rocco, the Paddling Toyhound (Oldies Club sponsor dog)
Rocco arrived in Oldies Club care around 20 months ago and despite being a very handsome boy, has not received any suitable adoption enquiries. It took him some months to really settle into his wonderful foster home and we had concerns about how a move to another home would affect him. Combining this with the lack of enquiries for him, we have now placed him in our sponsor dog scheme. This means that Rocco will remain in his foster home on a permanent basis, with Oldies Club covering his vet bills for the rest of his life :-)

Rocky (Blaby District Council, Leicestershire)
It’s with a sad heart that Rocky had to be PTS. A swab was taken from his ears as they were not responding to treatment which showed a catalogue of bacteria that the vet said would take a very long time to resolve and may never resolve because of how long they had been left. It was agreed that rather than him spend many weeks in pain and under a lot of stress it would be better to let him go.

It was very peaceful and dignified, as she deserved.’ Run free, Sophie.

She is a 12 year old Yorkie with several health problems but she still enjoys life and her fosterers describe her as a tiny dog with a huge personality – please read her story and see if you could consider helping to sponsor her so that she can be comfy in her retirement years
