Hi, I’m Tom, one of the sponsor dogs at Oldies Club, a small volunteer-run charity that rescues and rehomes older dogs in the UK. Hi, I’m Bella, a beautiful Spinone cross type of a girl, who came into Oldies Club care in 2015, as an unclaimed stray from the pound. I was in a terrible state then. Very underweight and it’s thought I have been used as a breeding machine and then left unclaimed :-(.  I am deaf and partially sighted too, so it’s been a rather difficult time for me. Hello, I’m Chester, a GSD cross Collie boy who came into Oldies Club care in March 2016 after my previous owner and I sadly lost our home. Unfortunately after arriving in Oldies Club foster care it was immediately obvious that, along with not being in the greatest condition generally, I have VERY poorly ears :-(. Oldies Club is celebrating older dogs! We are holding a fundraising photo competition for the eighth year running especially for dogs age 7 and over. The winning dog will represent the Oldies Club for the following year. The only rule for this competition is that dogs entering need to be veterans, they do not necessarily need to be rescue dogs to enter. We have divided the UK up into 7 regions (North East, North West, South East, South West, Midlands, Scotland and Wales. The winner of each region will go forward to the Grand Final. Its Howl-o-Ween at Oldies Club and we have two fabulous events for supporters to get involved with. The first is a Halloween fundraising photo competition which is open to dogs of all ages. The winning dog will win a goodie bag. The competition will run for the month of October, closing at 9pm on Saturday 31st October 2015. Hi, I’m Super Sadie, a beautiful (they tell me) ten-year-old Great Dane x Mastiff girl, who came into Oldies Club care in August 2015. Update: 22 September 2015 – I had to return to the vets to have a growth removed from my foot (I’ll spare you the details) and from my flank. My vet bills to date have now reached £2,381.65!
