Here at Oldies Club, a small volunteer-run dog rescue registered charity, we have helped over 5,000 homeless old dogs in rescue to be discovered by new, loving families, thanks to our popular website.

~ Hello, we’re delighted to let you know that Lisa of Team Golden Oldies is very kindly donating the profits from sales of her new book, Sally Learns to Dance, made via Amazon.co.uk, to Oldies Club, to help us with the older dogs in our care.

~ Today is World Animal Day. We would be most grateful if you would make a donation towards our work, rescue and rehoming older dogs in the UK. Our vet bills for August 2017 were over £15,000 – for that one month! It’s a lot of money to find for a small, volunteer-run charity. We are currently holding an online auction via our Oldies Club Auction Page, to raise much needed funds for the older dogs in our care. We have lots of lovely listings of items for you and your dog, including this amazing opportunity for a dog lover to own a framed commissioned portrait miniature of their dog, which has very kindly donated by portrait artist and dog portrait photographer Bettina von Zwehl, whose work is in museum collections around the world, including the V&A Museum and the Guggenheim, New York.

Oldies Club is celebrating older dogs! We are holding a fundraising photo competition for the ninth year running especially for dogs age 7 and over. The winning dog will represent the Oldies Club for the following year. The only rule for this competition is that dogs entering need to be veterans, they do not necessarily need to be rescue dogs to enter. We have divided the UK up into 7 regions (North East, North West, South East, South West, Midlands, Scotland and Wales. The winner of each region will go forward to the Grand Final. Hello, lovely supporters, we are looking for 50 people to pledge to raise £50 this September for Oldies Club. As many of you already know, we’re a small volunteer-run charity that rescues and rehomes older dogs in the UK. 50 x £50 will generate £2,500 for us, which would be a tremendous help with the care of our oldies as we approach the winter months.

Oldies Club was contacted by a company called Beautiful Joe’s. They sell ethical air dried pure liver treats for dogs. For every bag of treats they sell they donate another bag to a dog rescue. Oldies Club were lucky enough to receive lots of liver treats and our dogs LOVE them! Hi, I’m little Milly, a new arrival (and little cutie, so I’m told!) at Oldies Club, a small volunteer-run charity that rescues and rehomes older dogs in the UK: I was placed in a lovely Oldies Club foster home in June 2016 and went for my vet check soon after arrival, where the vet advised that, along with having cataracts in both eyes, I very sadly have glaucoma in my left eye and recommended that the eye be removed :-( My right eye is thankfully not thought to be causing me any pain currently.
