05/05/2016 – Sadly this lovely boy has been put to sleep on health and welfare grounds. Rest in peace dear Wally
This extremely handsome older gent is Wally! He is a fawn and white Collie cross who is 13 years young and is looking for a new home. At present, he is in the care of the RSPCA Chesterfield & North Derbyshire Branch.
Wally is a sweet and gentle soul who is looking for a quieter home where he can enjoy his twilight years. He is looking for a home where someone is around a lot of the time to keep him company so may suit an older person, a retired couple or maybe someone who works from home. He is fine to be left for short periods and you will get the best welcome ever when you get home!
He is fine with other dogs, so may be able to live with another quieter companion. He has no problem with the cats in his home either, but will chase them if he sees them out and about!. He is also fine with the children in his foster home so could live with older children or visiting grandchildren would be fine.
Wally enjoys going for walks, but does ache a little these days so does not like to walk too far. He would really enjoy a home with a secure enclosed garden where he can potter about in and explore the world around him.
You will never need to ask where’s Wally as this loving boy will always be near you for some fuss and plenty of cuddles! He sleeps well at night and is a good clean boy in the home and will always tell you when he wants to go out to the toilet.
He does have a slight heart murmur which will require medication for the rest of his life and he has an enlarged testicle, but the rescue is hoping to get him neutered soon.
Wonderful Wally may be a slightly older, but still has plenty of love to give and is an absolute joy to have around. So if you are looking for a loving companion, then look no further as Wally is definitely the boy for you!
