Ruby (Rain Rescue, South Yorkshire)

23/02/20 – At last, Ruby has found a home, with Rain Rescue volunteers!

Beautiful Ruby is a Crossbreed girl looking for a relaxing retirement home with the help of Rain Rescue in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

She’d love to live with one or more dog friends and gets on best with males. Although she’s lived with a cat before, it’s thought a cat-free home would be more suitable for her. An interesting garden is absolutely essential for Ruby and preferably a field or two nearby as well. She loves being out pottering and sniffing the air.

Ruby is a very undemanding lady. She doesn’t require fuss, being content to potter about or lounge around in the company of other dogs. She spent a lot of her life on the streets of Romania and has retained her independent mindset. She does appreciate snuggly beds though!

Ruby is shy of new people, understandably. Due to the years she spent as a free agent, she’s not keen on being on the lead. She will tolerate it for going to the vets but, in general, she needs to be able to explore off lead. She can manage without walks, as such, if she has plenty of outside space to roam. She would fit into a rural, multi-dog household very happily and will make a stunning addition to your pack!
