25/3/20 – Lovely Johnny has found his first ever home and is settling in like a dream. What a star he is!

Johnny is a gorgeous black Greyhound boy who was born in January 2012, so he’s 8 years old. He has been in kennels with Retired Greyhound Owner Association near Brentwood, Essex, since he retired from racing a few years ago.

Johnny is a very affectionate and loving boy who has been waiting far too long for his forever home. He has had a few weekend sleepovers with some kennel volunteers and he has always been very well behaved. He likes to share the sofa with you, and in his ideal home he would like to share your bedroom, but he would be happy in his own bed – he just likes to know that you are there. He loves company so will make an ideal companion for a retired couple or a family with children, but he would not like to be left on his own while his owner went out to work all day.

Handsome Johnny needs continued socialisation around other dogs as he is not keen on other breeds. He could however share his home with another greyhound or probably a similar-sized lurcher that looks quite Greyhoundy! He can’t live with cats or small furries. He enjoys his walks but he is quite undemanding. He travels well in the car.

Johnny has recently had a dental and unfortunately had to have all of his teeth removed, but this does not cause him any problems with eating appropriate food. He is neutered.

This wonderful boy thoroughly deserves to spend his retirement years relaxing in a warm, comfortable home. Could you offer him a lovely future?
