Ava is a striking large Malinois cross breed lady, 7-8 yrs old, looking for her forever home through Safe Rescue. She is currently in a foster home in Norwich, Norfolk and originates from one of the public shelters in Romania where she was handed in as her owner had passed away.
On arrival she was very overweight but with exercise and a good feeding routine she is now in much better shape and enjoying being able to go on longer walks and discovering the world around her.
Ava adores human company and always seeks affection and love. She loves it if you play ball with her and a bit of ruff and tumble. This is no doubt all very new to Ava, and she is relishing the joys of her new environment.
Although Ava mixes well with other dogs it’s felt that she would benefit from being the only dog in the home as she can get a bit jealous when another dog is getting more love than she is ! She could live with a confident cat, but would definitely chase, if the cat was skittish. Sensible children over the age of 8yrs would also be fine. All the more people to play with, in Ava”s eyes !
Ava is an affectionate and friendly girl that really deserves to spend her retirement years in a loving home and will make the most wonderful addition to any family.
N.B. Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. Further details can be found on Ava’s home page here.
