    07/12/2009 Sadly Queenie was found to have a fast growing, inoperable tumour and the sad decision was made to let her go before she suffered too much. Sleep tight, sweet one.

    20/1/2010 Sad news from the Ark … poor Pepsi has had to be put to sleep due to spinal problems. Rest in peace princess :(

    15/3/2010 Poor Nemo has had to be put to sleep due to a liver condition. Sleep tight old fella :(

  • Sophie (Foal Farm, Biggin Hill, Kent)

    8/6/10 – We just had the sad news that Sophie has passed away due to heart problems. She was due to go to her new home the following day. The people at Foal Farm are heartbroken.

    19/2/2010 Poor little Boysie has sadly passed away. He had collapsed and was taken to the vets who advised he had pneumonia. Due to his age and frail condition it was kinder to put him to sleep. Boysie had been loved and very well cared for by his wonderful fosterers. Sleep well little man :(

    2/12/09 Poor Dream has had to be put to sleep. She’s been very poorly for a while and had pneumonia. Sleep tight Dream.

    8/2/10 Poor little Rossi had to be put to sleep due to his age and illness, leaving his little friend Ally to look for a new home on her own. Sleep tight, little one.

    31/12/09 We’ve had some sad news from Britta’s owner. Unfortunately Britta became ill recently and her condition deteriorated, so her owner had to make the awful decision of having her put to sleep :( Rest in peace Britta, free from pain.

    10/6/2010 Snook has sadly passed away :( He had recently been sleeping for longer periods and last night he passed peacefully in his sleep. Thanks to his wonderful foster Mum, Snook enjoyed eight months of love and kindness whilst in Oldies Club care.

    7/12/09 Poor Charley has had to be put to sleep. She’s been unwell and a vet examination has shown up mammary tumours and a growth on her spleen. Her friend Defer is pining for her :(

    6/12/09 Such sad news from Dogs Trust today – It is with great sadness that I write to tell you that poor Tye has passed away. He spent several weeks under the care of our local vet hospital for specialist treatment and while he seemed to be improving he sadly deteriorated overnight and passed away this morning.

    29/10/2011 Some sad news from Dogs Trust – Sheba collapsed yesterday and sadly there was nothing that could be done for her. We are so, so sad to lose our lovely girl as she has been like one of the family for so many years! Sleep tight Sheba :(

    5/11/09 We’ve had this very sad update from EGLR … It is with great sadness that I have to write that Rosie was put to sleep on Monday. She had a wonderful 2 months in her foster home and was loved so much. She will be greatly missed.

  • Charming Charlie (Oldies Club Sponsor Dog)

    Charlie has been diagnosed with CDRM (Canine degenerative myelopathy) – an untreatable degenerative condition. At the moment Charlie is still active and enjoying life, but over time he will suffer from loss of coordination in his back legs. Charlie will stay in the care of the Oldies Club for the rest of his life.

  • Oscar (The Ark, Lincolnshire Coast)

    5/10/2009 Sadly Oscar was taken very poorly and passed away before he could go to his new home. He would have been dearly loved. Rest In Peace Oscar.
