27/01/2020 – Oliver has been adopted! Hooray!

Dear old Oliver is a Collie boy who’s in the care of Rain Rescue in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. He arrived with his long-time companion Daisy who is also looking for a home. Very sadly their elderly owner could no longer look after them and they were in a desperate situation. Although safe and well cared for now, they really need a human or two to belong to and a settled retirement home ASAP.

They are both very different in personality and don’t necessarily need to be rehomed together, although it might be nicer for Oliver as he’s blind.

His blindness is something he copes with well and he uses his nose to find his way around. He prefers to just potter and snuffle, whereas Daisy likes to have a quick run around. Having said that,  he does manage the odd spurt too, when he feels safe.

He’d be best suited to a home where any youngsters are older teenagers and where he has a nice secure garden and places short walks nearby, so he knows where he is. He might be able live with another dog or a cat, after careful introductions. He can certainly be rehomed with his best buddy Daisy!
