Rusty (Three Counties Dog Rescue, Lincs)
5/7/2007 Rusty was taken ill a few days ago and was taken to the vets but he died yesterday. So sad that he didn’t get to spend his final times in a loving home.

23/9/2007 Poor Aero developed torsion and has sadly gone to the bridge without finding his final home. Rest in peace now Aero.

4/9/2007 Poor Jason has very sadly had to be put to sleep. Rest in peace, Jason.

Oz (RSPCA Tameside & Glossop)
5/6/2007 We have heard from RSPCA Tameside & Glossop that Oz was taken to Greater Manchester Animal Hospital today and diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. The vet strongly suspected that he had developed secondaries and, as Oz was in great distress, the sad decision had to be taken to put Oz to sleep.

Vi (Romford Greyhound Rehoming, Essex)
30/5/2007 Poor Vi suddenly became seriously ill and was found to have a tumour. Vi has sadly had to be put to sleep.

Bruno, Bath Cats & Dogs Home
03/01/2009 We have heard the sad news today that Bruno has passed away. Here is what his walker at Bath Cats & Dogs Home had to say: Just to inform you about Bruno, the Corgi cross from Bath Cats and Dogs Home. I was his walker for the last 5 years. Bruno was taken ill very suddenly and passed away on the last day of 2009. It was a great shock to myself and his only other walker. Bruno has been buried inthe home’s cemetery and his grave will be cared for by me. Sleep tight old boy.

5/9/07 – Oldies Club are very sad to announce that Pretty Pippa has had to be put to sleep today. She took a turn for the worse and under the vets advice it was kinder to let her go. Sleep tight pretty girl!

Hazel (Chilterns Dog Rescue Society, Bucks)
8/2/2007 Badly neglected Hazel developed acute liver failure and had to be put to sleep. CDRS told us that she was a truly lovely dog and we are very sorry that she ran out of time before she had time to enjoy a happy home life.

Sadly, although a rescue place was offered to Norman, his owners refused to release him and he was put to sleep.

Jack was in a very poor way when he came into the care of the Oldies Club.

Max (Poplar Farm Kennels, Cambridge)
Max came into rescue with his best friend, Tricks. It is hard to find homes for pairs of dogs, and sadly, Max never reached his forever home.
