Poppy (Dogs Trust, Merseyside)
20/3/2011 Poppy has had to be put to sleep due to her ill-health. She only had seven months in her new home, but she was truly loved and will be sadly missed. Sleep tight Poppy :(

20/3/2011 Poor Simba didn’t make it into a new home – he was sadly diagnosed with cancer and the kindest option was to put him to sleep. Rest in peace big fella :(

Keith (Oldies Club, fostered Somerset)
10/2/2011 Poor Keith was diagnosed with Cushings and liver disease and sadly we had to let him go. Sleep tight little one :(

Poppy (Ark, Lincolnshire coast)
2/4/11 Very sad news about Poppy. She was off colour so was taken to the vet and he suspected a growth. A scan showed a large tumour affecting several organs and the only option was to put Poppy to sleep. Rest in peace now lovely girl.

18.02.11 Only four weeks after the loss of her best mate Josie, beautiful Bella (now almost 14) went to join her. She had spent almost four years in her forever home and during that time had welcomed many Oldies foster dogs into her home. Her generosity of spirit and her gentle, loving personality made her such a special dog and she will never be forgotten

Vicky (Oldies Club Sponsor Dog)
Sweet little Vicky came into Oldies Club care after being picked up as a stray and rescued from very heavy traffic. She found a new home in May 2010, but sadly didn’t settle and came back to her foster home. Vicky has poor eyesight and is estimated to be at least 16 years old, so we feel she should stay where she is happiest – with her fosterer. She will remain as an Oldies Club sponsor dog for the rest of her days.

7/2/11 – Sadly Max’s health took a turn for the worse and it was decided that the kindest thing to do was to let him go. Sleep tight, sweet one.

Zara (Aldridge Animal Rescue, West Midlands)
14/3/2011 Poor Zara has had to be put to sleep. She had spent a few weeks in a loving foster home, but became very ill. Sleep tight Zara :(

Boston (RSPCA, West Norfolk)
20/1/11 – Tragically Boston had to be put to sleep this morning. He was unwell and the vet found a tumour on his kidneys. The kindest thing was to let him go. Sleep tight, Boston.

Lovely Lennie (Oldies Club Sponsor Dog)
Lovely Lennie is a gorgeous Collie cross, who is thought to be around 9-10 years old and who arrived in Oldies Club care in October 2010.

22.8.11 Sadly, Ozzie reached the end of his life last week. He was much loved by his family and will be never be forgotten. Run free, Ozzie.

Willow (National Animal Welfare Trust, Somerset)
25/7/2011 Sad news that Willow had to be put to sleep. Willow is eight years old and has been waiting in rescue for a long time. She arrived with her younger friend, Jake, in 2005 and sadly both are still waiting. Willow is a friendly, but independent girl and she can be rehomed with Jake or on her own.
